My parents

Honestly, my parents usually let me make my own decisions. They let me make my own mistakes and take care of them. They sort of give me guidelines as to what would be the best for me but as for the actual decision making they leave that to me. When I was younger they made decisions for me but I didn't mind then, and I agreed with them. Now that I'm older though and in high school they give me more freedom to make choices.

I think that is how it should be. When you get into Highschool, that is the time when parents need to start preparing you for the "real" world. How can you be prepared when you haven't even had the responsibility to make your own decisions?? I don't agree with parents that are WAY too controlling.

This is what my parents also do. I do not think parents should be making decisions for their high school kid.
