Do Parents Know Best? Empty Do Parents Know Best?

Parents, most of the time, know what they are doing when they are telling you the most awful word known in the human language; no. They are really trying to protect you and still trying to keep you innocent from the world. Truth be told, they don't want you to grow up. They always want you to stay as "their babies". Sometimes, they do know best though. It's always nice to know that someone is willing to protect you, but sometimes you have to make mistakes on your own instead of going by what your parents have experienced because your outcome may not be the same as theirs. When you get in high school, you want to make mistakes, but the thing is to know whether your choices and actions are right or wrong. After making a few mistakes, you start to see the difference between the two. You then become free to make mistakes because you know the difference. Not all mistakes are wrong. Some mistakes must be made for certain selfless reasons and you make them purposely so you can grow and learn, but some people just make mistakes for the sake of being idiotic and ignorant, knowing that the choices they make will, in no way, affect their lives positively.
Making your own mistakes is the start of freedom, of growing up, but parents tend to get over protective when you get older. Parents can get out of control, but they do love you and are only trying to help pave the road of your life because these years in your life are the ones that effect your life the most. You're parents are just trying to protect your heart from being broken and your mind from being scarred, but in my eyes, "Parents Just Don't Understand".Wink
