Traditions.

In my opinion, traditions should be passed down; most of the time. Your family's should be the ones to decide whether or not you should carry forth the tradition.
Unless it's against the law now.
Or the environment in which you're supposed to practice the tradition has changed so drastically that you can't do the tradition.
