Do actions speak louder than words?

Actions v.s. Words think about this if actions speak louder than words then why is it if you beat some one up they remember it for a week but if you say something they remember it for a year? if you tell some one something they will hold it against you for the rest of your life and hold a memmory of that ,but if you just got in a fight they would forget about it and no one would care thats why people strive and crave for drama sitting on the tips of their chairs attempting to get any sense of the new gossip they can grasp.
