ummm idk!!

I guess it could be okay but not on the less serious things...i would not like to get hit from being tardy...I'd hit the teacher back and probably get another punishment instead of only one. The teachers are not my parents!! I believe there are better ways to discipline a child but if the parents aren't doing a good job then i guess teachers could do it. It would certainly stop them because nobody that is big and bad would like to tell people that he was paddled by someone. Not a lot of people act out .... I don't know if i encourage it or not..... watch i end up in trouble too but I wouldn't like to be punished like that!!

I agree with abcd in that corporal punishment might, perhaps work for some students bit it is kind of scary getting discipline from your teacher and not your parents.
