family traditions

Are family traditions important? Do we as a society have traditions that are old fashioned and unnecessay? Explain.

I think that family traditions are inportant to many as to me.Some times there are tradisions that have been passed down for many generations so this makes them inportant to many of use. some are old fashioned and unnecessay but maybe to please our grandparents we keep them in our traditions, because to me it dosent matter how boreing and lame the traditon is but to keep that one old person everyone loves happy is everything.

I agree with you some traditions can have no point to it what so ever but as long as you see the person your doing it for happy it all pays off. But in the other hand there are some traditions that are super important to me that probably would make some of the most important people in my life very happy, but I celebrate them anyways.
