Adversity- (n.) misfortune; difficulties.
There are levels of adversity with higher effects negative, or positive. They can overwhelm, swallow, and spit a person out like nothing at times. My generation, due to age, does not know the full effect of a misfortune. It is few that see's the bigger picture, and understands the situation under the surfuce.
Constantly teenagers complain about how they were grounded from their cell phone( the "adversity"), majority reasoning be due to THEIR actions. In some cases in may be different but, for the most part it is a problem that is "unfair" and such. When learning how to survive on one's self a more appropiate situation to consider a misfortune, is not having a cell phone due to the amount of bills one had to pay because the rent buddy was fired. This may lead to the effect of worse credit, close to no money to pay for neccesities(gas, water, electricity, groceries, etc.). Not to mention perhaps an adversity, that creates the disability for one to function. That is a significant adversity.
