X-box or PS3? Facebook or Twitter? Laptop or desktop? Smart phone or no phone? Is there too much technology available today? Are students becoming dependent upon technology and the internet? Is there a reasonable alternative?
Students are relying on the security of technology way too much. A perfect example of chaos caused by of a lack of electronics is during Hurricane Ike, teenagers had nothing to do, and were losing their minds without a charged phone and playing WOW. Ofcourse we cannot stop all technological andvancements, but we can refuse to use them. Instead of coming home and crashing on the couch and watching tv while texting on your smart phone, parents should encourage their children to pick up a book or read a news paper, so that future generations wont be crippled by technology.
